One of mine is binding up a bit on my tow rig ('97 PSD) so I check the napa website and they are $56:wtf:

Its just a 1480 series u-joint...didn't think they'd be that expensive. ANyone got any better sources for the front axle u-joints for a 60?

Thanks. I'll head over there now (via web:D ).

EDIT: I see there is one in pasco and none in western wa...DOH!

Apparently portland oregon has six of the joints (insert cheech or chong comment here) but no price is listed on line and of course they are closed. DOH DOH

Thanks Odie. I'll try to avoid that other dude...fullofsomething:D Just kidding fully!:flipoff:

Seriously, I'd figure $25 bucks for that joint...not $56.99!

Someone else mentioned recently they had to use a 12 ton press to get their old joints out...hope that doesn't happen to me.:booo:

I guess there's a couple types of joints out there. This thing only sees 4x4 when towing up to evans in the snow or driving to work in the snow. I'd prefer low/zero maintenance on the joint if possible. Got a recommendation (PN) for a joint that meets that "requirement"?

I was looking at a SPL55-4x

randy's part number for the spicer 60 joint.

DAN5-806X

No zerks, it's the new snap-lock cap design.

I run these in the front of my Jeep and they seem to last
