My Angryfab buggy "ISSUES"

That is cheap

Definitely! At least much cheaper than $2k for RCV's.

I agree. It's still a stock 35 spline shaft. Not going to last with much motor, tire and right foot. However, I see them as a no brainer for a few reasons. If something breaks, it's the shaft and not the joint or yoke taking out the balljoint. If you don't wheel that hard they are solid and would take more than most trail rigs see. They would also make great spares for cromo shafts. Crazy deal for what you get.

Well put. I couldn't agree more.

Yea it's negative in that picture. I went back and fixed it later.

On link separation at the axle 25% of tire height is standard, so 10 3/4 for 43s. I wanted my upper links to mount on side of truss, and not top. But that only gives me 9.5 on the front and 10.25 on rear. How crucial is it on a buggy like this?

I don't believe you would ever be able to notice the difference between an axle vertical link separation of 9.5" and 10.75". I interpret the 25% idea you mention as a starting place rather than a rule.

Thanks for the help, I don't know what I would do without Hardline. I This is the first buggy I have built from ground up. So it will be a learning experience. Just like the caster, I thought it looked funny, I had it backwards, I googled it I seen I was backwards.

You're starting with a pretty slick chassis. I dig it! I remember you were hunting for a 05+ Ford Dana 60 not too long ago. Where did you end up finding yours?

Thanks I really like, I miss having a buggy right now, but it will be worth it.

In Savannah, TN at raceway motors Got both axles and a 6.0 with 101k for $2400

Is 3/8 plate overkill for the ram mount? I have 1/4 also. I'm do something similar to this

Not at all on the bottom part that looks like a skid. I'd use 3/8" on the bottom 1/4" for top plate and gussets and filler metal.

I have to see if there is enough 1/4, it will be close , if not all 3/8

I get scrap pieces from work, and we use alot of 3/8, I got a bunch of little pieces of 1/4, can't seem to get a big chunk of it

Engine cage, I wanted something low so I would have good visibility

Started messing around with ram mount today, really need my knuckles to get back from four wheel supply before I can do to much. Probably need diff cover also to make sure it will clear, but I may end up with only 3 clamps, leaving the one on far driver side off. That would for sure be enough clearance for cover and I could get ram closer to axle.

Got rotors and UB's drilled to 8x6.5, I had to take out a couple thousandths from center of the rotors I got from lugnut 4x4 to get them to set all the way down on bearing
