My Bus,,, My Bus,,, My Bus...

Thanks guys...

Mike, I thought about doing something like that, even looked at a full length bus that had the coach area shortened and a car hauler built on the frame in the back...

After looking for a while, it made more since to go this route... The bus can be used for more than just wheeling... It's also a lot easier to drive and park than the full length ones...

As far as a place to park, it's only 4' longer than my '88 K30 crewcab was... It also turns a hell of a lot sharper...

Got some work done on the dinette and galley today...

There will be a 1" thick piece of plywood on the bench and the rest will get treated with aluminum diamond plate...

Here's the start of the galley... The stove will slide into the open square spot... Still needs a few pieces added on, but you get the idea... Gonna get painted black and aluminum diamond plate for cabinet doors... Then it'll get a slate counter top...

were you in Orting the other week with this thing??

I saw is parked in a driveway (or one really close to it) when I was taking my buddies kid down for his hunting classes...

if it was yours, it looks pretty cool... I think it looks better in person than what the pictures show...

:awesomework:

Haven't had it down in Orting... Was out in Yelm a few weeks ago, Spanaway area and Lakewood after that...

I need two more cushions Kev...:redneck:

Got the other seat for the dinette done... Need to do some grinding, weld some nuts on the inside of the square tube to fasten the diamond plate and paint...

Also got the toe kick installed on the galley and started cutting materials for the hearth under the wood stove, but ran out of welding gas...

Gonna start cutting and mocking up the bunk material...

The aluminum tool box is there for mock up of the fridge... It'll be cut up for use as cabinet doors...

and maybe run a propane injection setup for the diesel for some extra hill climbing power.

and to trigger the injection you could use a micro lever switch at the throttle to open the soleniod valve. and to control weather or not the system is armed or not with a different soleniod valve and switch on the dash.

Got the stove mounts welded to the galley... Had to work under the awning because of the rain... The fridge is mocked up... Now I'm gonna work on the upper cabinets...
