Ok I have a 97 dodge 1500 with the 5.9 (gas) it is getting hot. About 200-220*. The temp fluctuates. Gas on temp comes up, let it sit it comes down.

I noticed a few days ago some coolant on the floor of the shop. Looking under the hood I noticed a port behind the condenser can leaking coolant out of it. So I checked the coolant level and it was good.

I'm still getting good heat out of the vents in the cab. So I'm not thinking it's the heater core.

What you guys think thermostat? But why is there coolant coming out of that port.

Either a plugged radiator, or bad stat...Try getting it to the higher temp if you can, then shut it down and check the U and L hoses to see if they're hot...If they are, then check the middle of the radiator with your hand and see if it stays cool for very long, if it does then likely a plugged rad....
If all this checks out ok, then it could well be a bad fan clutch, or water pump not moving enough fluid...
