housing cut down ground down and cleaned

housing ends ready to be taken to work tommorrow and lathe them down

The housing as a left it tonight 5.38 and spool installed and spring perches on just need to install housing ends tommorrow and finish it up

No truss on this one the 3 inch .320 wall tube should be better than the old 2.75 .250 wall rear was.

Beautiful...Over memorial I bent my D60 3 1/8 tube 1/4 walluke: so started in on a 14 bolt but then had second thoughts,so I'm in the process of ordering up a housing so I can keep all the "good stuff" I already have,5.38,spool,35 spline chromoly.Would cut and fab my own but time has not been my friend lately.

Makes it a bit easier to work on and weld up brackets.


I just wish I could affor a lift so I don't have to work on the ground when the diff is still under a rig:booo:

A truss will take no time to do but-------I am just not to big of a fan of adding unwanted weight. My Jeep is fairly light and I would like to keep it that way. The bigger diameter and bigger wall thickness tubes should be all the help I need. Also the rebuild of the diff only really took about 8 hours

The only reason it bent and twisted was my heavy ass right foot and knowing better than to do what I was doing:booo:
