Newbies Post Up Here - Rig Specs & Info Thread

Hey guys... Big fan of the bouncers ever since I found your site a while back. Was looking for ideas on my buggy build and became engrossed in the Jimmy Smith and Coleworx rigs. I'm an engineer in Lincoln, NE and have worked @ a contract mfg for over 17 years. We have a bunch of high dollar toys that work perfectly for making buggy components on Fridays. :****:

I'll post up a build thread soon and hopefully you guys can give some good direction where needed, as this is my first time building from ground up. Here's where I'm @ now:

Webwheeler here, name is Art... I've been building this pile for about 2 years now. It has no deadline, so I have just been buying parts as I can afford them. I am 23, finishing up college, and this thing is what all my spare time and spare change gets used on. It's my first non-bolt on type of build, and one hell of a learning experience! All work was done by me, in this little 2 car garage.

Front Suspension- 3 link w/ panhard, 2.5" Radflo 14" airshocks, Radflo air bumps

Fresh blood here! From south Louisiana. Currently working on a Isuzu Trooper 1 ton project. Started out with wanting an IFS rig, then got to meet up with some local buggy guys and rethought the plans. Trooper so far has a rebuilt 3.4 out of a camaro, stock 5 speed and t-case, D60 front & 14 bolt rear with 5.38's. Leaf springs for now, trying to save a little cash! I am still fairly new to this, but have a passion to get out there! So I'm skipping the baby steps. Wish I had some pics worthy of posting, but as of now it's a scattered mess of parts.

Hi everyone my name is Cliff and I am from yakima Washington . I like to do a little fab work out in my shop for myself and some local wheelers . I drive an 87 4runner that is running a 4.3 , toy 5 speed and twin cases . It is setting in the shop right now because of a cab swap from an x cab pickup to the runner it is now , but its almost ready for some wheeling soon .

Great site , I hope some day to have a tea spoon of the talent I have seen on this site someday :dblthumb:

Hey, I am Andrew and I am from Oklahoma. My rig is by NO means a hardline crawler. It is more like a jeep forum rig..lol
I am here to look at some REAL rigs.

Hey everyone!

Glad to be here. We are a pretty new company (since 2010) making tools for fabricators specifically in the offroad industry. Our company makes Tubing Benders, die sets, and other fab tools like drill press reduction kits.

But sine this is a rig thread, our vehicle is a 1988 4Runner. Turbo supra motor, dual cases, mog axles, 42s, all built by RogueFab when the company was first starting out (sorry for the pavement pic... all I have that is recent).

Re: Re: Newbies Post Up Here - Rig Specs & Info Thread

Jon currently in north west SC. 95 V8 ZJ, HP44-HI9 axles, 36's until I get motivated to put the 38's on the bead locks, 3 link front, long armed rear, 112.5" WB, lots of cutting and random stuff here and there. My first jeep build and all of it in my garage. And coilovers this winter once I get the XJ out of the garage.

Sorry, don't have any wheeling pics on my phone after the axle swap. But here's one when I had the 35's and stock axles.
