so i am looking for a Christmas present for the pa' and the ppe looks like the ticket. but, how much power does he really need?

those of you here that run tuners what do ya got?

oh, its going on a 2007 duraturd lbz

....posted on other forms, but wanted to know what y'all thought:hi:

It's either PPE or EFI live for a Duramax. I run a PPE on my '05. Don't go for a large tune or you'll end up needed trans upgrades.

I forgot you mentioned the towing part. I tow on level 3. My load on truck is a camper with trailer and 2 rigs on trailer. From what I have seen with my truck you will need to monitor temps.

Also a must have is intake and exhaust.

its got no gauges or intake and a banks catback.

but, a pyrometer and boost/vac gauge w/pod is on the list.

we tow our sled that weighs around 6000 loaded so we arnt towing too heavy

Still need to get at least the pyro on before towing with the tuner.

ppe is a nice tuner but you would be just fine with a diablo. regardless w/o a tuner i would have a pyro gauge. duramax's run hot...even in stock form. i tow with mine on level 2
