Ranger 5.0l / nose swap

It's like an old whore in a new dress.

I picked it up looking nasty, needing a clutch and a a lot of attention.
When I started cleaning it, I decided to keep it instead of flipping it to make money like usual. It'll be a daily driver now.

The nose had rock chips from hell, so instead of fixing it, I got a NEW nose, and did a nose swap, to a 2004-up. It got some new style taillight a too.

Then I found some dual power leather explorer seats and console to throw in.
I'm not done with the center console yet though.
It will be getting front and rear bumpers, once I feel like spending more money on it.

Another one snuck into the driveway today.
It's donating it's 5.0l v8, tranny, and limited-slip disc rear end to the Ranger.

I started the 5.0l swap on Memorial weekend. It's all in, and down to making a harness a running a few wires.

5.0l in the hole

Body back on

Found some emblems for the hood.

I finally got my harness pretty much finished, and it fired off today!
I must have done something right!

A locker or limited slip, but I'm thinking LS. This truck will see snowy roads and dirt roads, that's about the extent of it's "wheeling".

After the 5.0l swap, it needed a 2" body lift to clear the heads.
33's then looked too small, so it got some 35's, which makes it bigger than I wanted, but oh well.

It went back to dark wheels with some different wheels and tires, and ditched the canopy.
