i have a warn 8000 and it dont work , it has new sileniods nothing ive done works , im going to pull it apart tommarow . hopfully its not to hard in not a winch doctor ... too many scuba diving setions without use ...

Obviously there are several things that could be wrong.

First question to ask: Are the solenoids clicking when you select "in" or "out" on your hand controller?

If your solenoids ain't clicking, and it must be 2 of them, power ain't gettin to your motor: don't bother tearing your motor down.

As stated by Tig. Make sure you got a good ground. If you are not sure, use a jumper to ground and re-test.

I had the same prob. with my 8274 I had a broken wire about 2in. up my controler from the plug side. Maybe that will help, but I agree with the rest you should do some more research before tearing it down!

also check the posts on the winch motor itself, if one of those posts wigles or has been spun at any time chances are the lead is no good
