Samurai Shackles...

So at the expense of my cheap humility, and total lack of self respect I will ask this question..

So I have this "newish" 91 Sami

Currently has 205/75/15s

I purchased some stock F150 wheels/ w/ LT235/75/15's

Wheels are at machine shop getting the center holes made a gooder size :redneck:

Thinkin' I am gonna need some shackles to get these monsters to fit...


The $64 question.. 1" longer than stock or 2" longer than stock?? Don't want to get crazy and have pinion angle problems if it is not necessary. From what I have learned w/ the Sami so far I don't have to worry much about suspension travel... the axles might as well be welded to the ****in frame... :awesomework:

Sprung over with 2" over shackles no pinion problems. The stock shackles are so gayish, your giving it a less gayish look

Trail tough makes nice shackles.

A 1 inch over shackle will only lift it .5 inch.

Problem is you go much over an inch longer, it changes the caster angle to a point it doesn't track well...

my beater has shackles and 31's welded f/r and is too much fun for too little money only time my shackles are a problem is loading on the trailer when I feel lazy and don't want to use the ramps....have to hit it at an angle
