• Help Support Hardline Crawlers :

September rtw meeting

One of the main topics are how to keep Reiter open this winter.

Do we want it open?
How to manage the gate?
Can volunteers manage the gate ?
Are Volunteers willing to manage the gate?

Here is a copy of zuk88 September rtw meeting meeting from rtw

aThe BBQ went well for the opening of the newest connecting trail which challenged almost every one.
A lot of people were impressed with the newest trail still under construction with the length and terrain changes.
The rock pile is starting to get a "go around" from people climbing the side of it so a work party is being held September 28th at 9 am. Other things will be addressed by that date too because some highe
r ups are going to be up there that next week to observe.
Reiter will be open Saturday through Sunday, no more Fridays...not enough use.
There are 3 proposals for weekend use for the rest of the season:
1.(Preferred) a person or group sign up for the day to open and close the gate at the end of the day.
2. Gate opens Saturday morning and closes Sunday night.
3.(not a good option at this time) Gate is open at all times.
DNR would send out E mails to the people at least two weeks in advance to be in charge of the gates.
A criminal back ground check is required for the volunteers to do this.
The new trail should be done the first week in October but needs to be signed off so guessing some time in the middle of the month.
The October focus group meeting will be about what trails need to be built next with the new grant money so please show up and express your thoughts.
No focus group meetings for Nov. and Dec.
