Spinoff.... Tow Pig Fuel Milage

05 Dudge Dually reg cab, 4x4, 6spd , 3.73s 255/80x17 tires.
5" turbo back exhaust, CAI, Smarty set on level 5.
22-24 unloaded and seems to get better fuel mileage if i drive it like Im mad at it... makes no sense but it is what it is i guess...oh and its by no means a fast truck either.
got 12-14 hauling a fully built extended cab GMC Sonoma on Tons etc etc back from Virginia through the hills Va and Tn at 65-75 mph depending on the road.
Gets 14-16 toting my mildly built TJ ... but hell who am i kidding I never get to wheel anymore... so I dont rekon any of it matters lol.

2006 F350 deezil with a few doo dads

17-19 empty

14 pulling a 20 ft all steel bumper pull with a early bronco on board

Re:

2004 2500hd 8.1 4.10 with 285s. I've flirted with 12 empty but usually stays closer to 10 and my 18ft trailer with a jeep on tons and a truck sleeper that acts like a giant sail I'm around 6.5 to 7.5 towing. It pulls that load like a champ but it sucks the gas so fast that the gas gauge literally can't keep up with it.

Re:

2011 3500hd dmax on stock tires. I get 15 around town and 17 hwy unloaded. Towing a 30' gooseneck with 2 buggies on tons I'm at 10-11

Sounds accurate. My 07 LBZ not hand calculated dash lie on meter around town I get 14.2
Not for long. With THAt diablo sport with the 60 and 80 hp "towing/ fuel Econ" mode I got **** for milage. Well not **** but , 15-18. Set it on the 120 performance tune and not only does it unleash but the miles jump way up. Never Understood why. The 07 Duramax is my fav truck I have ever owned. 240K so far. Just changed first set of brakes. Why not make Em have a "tune" from the factory. It's so weird, I compare it like this .. Stock it was like a tractor.. Tuned it's like it gears it different , and coast and ****. I promised the first time you get in there and push the gas, especially in reverse, U will know. Haha.

Mine is a 07.5 Chevy with the Duramax. 295 BFG's on it. Has a 40 HP tow tune I run all the time and 5" DPF back exhaust with muffler delete. Other than that stock.

AVG mileage is 15MPG (by hand)
Single car trailer with buggy mileage is 12-13 MPG (by hand) 12 to the mountains 13 to Bama
Double car trailer with two units is 10 MPG no matter where you go it seems like
Is this the same motor as the 07 classic or did u get the new motoR? I forget all the letters. Lbz I believe

Got a 06 lly dmax. PPE tuner on towing tune. My didgital readout say 18 around town and up to 24 on hwy. Pulling a 20ft bumper drops it to 16 and pulling a 28ft gooseneck drops it to 13 or 14.

'03 Suburban,5.3 with tow package....13 mpg daily driving,10.5 mpg pulling my 3900 lb buggy. Ohh...and it's get ready to hit 250,000 miles.

I drive like an asshole :drinkers:.... 99 cummins. 100 hp injectors, raptor lift pump , afe manifold, bd intake elbow, edge comp box, 4" turbo back exhaust, 35 mud terrains and 4.11 gears.
13ish mpg dd and 11 pulling the jeep. :dblthumb:

2001 dodge 2500 quad cab short bed 4x4 auto with 4.10's. It's got a juice w/attitude, smr valve body kit and a 4" exhaust.

I get right at 15 mpg around town and 13.5 mpg towing my zuk at about 65.

I've seen 18 mpg unloaded once and 14.5 mpg towing a few times.

I wish I had 3.5x gears

Pulled a load with this truck from muscle shoals to bham grossing 33,200 lbs and got 8.5, that included topping battleground running 45 mph.

2001 Dodge dually qclb 2wd NV5600 3.55's exhaust cai Edge juice w/attitude RV275 injectors pulling same as above: 12-13 mpg empty, 10-11 loaded.

2007.5 Duramax with turbo back 5" straight pipe and efi live live averages 21 hwy/ 17 city and towing a rig is 12mpg

Cummins, duromax,........ where's a power stroke? I had a 14 power stroke and got 19 empty. Got a 15 with the newer turbo and went down to 16. Also can't keep rear tires on it. I know it my driving. At 6000 miles the right rear tire was half gone. The new turbo put to much bottom end in for stop n go driving.
