steering wheel clicks and pops?

I have a 86 4runner that when i turn the steering wheel it will make a pop and click sound.

Tilt column? Check for debris at the joint. I had a screw fall into mine causing the same symptoms.

Yes tilt. What joint you talking bout?

Only 2 things that can make contact in the column. One is the horn contact and the other the cancel cam for the turn signal switch.

Pull the lower cover and look...
