Every year the family goes camping at property on the Nooksack river here in Whatcom county, the property is owned by my family , this year we are going deeper back and found a nice swimming hole, its all overgrown with brush, small trees, bamboo and blackberries so we need to do some clearing to get vehicles and campsites set up so its time to get the buggy going.

buggys been sitting since last summer, when parked it had a coolant leak , and the clutch was slipping, I put in a new battery and fired her up and the waterpump
went out and the fan hit the frame, so I installed a different pump and also installed all the belt covers as they were missing, runs good now, the engine was from a 85 so theres no computer and it has a weber, good combo for the trail.

then I removed the clutch and found this, never seen this before, this is what stopped the clutch from working,

its a layer of grass, with maple tree seed shells, the grass was from last summer camping running thre the tall grass , the shells were from the mouse that left them in the flywheel housing, I put it in the press to rerlwase pressure and with a screw driver , compressed air and a vacuum cleaned it out, the clutch disc wasn't to bad, the pressure plate was a little groovy but all I had so it went back together,

still have plenty left to do , but its fun, its a 87 Subaru wagon all stock 2" lift on the front . shortened 20" and afew unwanted parts removed, 27" Swampers,

Your going to kill a bus load of nuns with that. :redneck:

I'm with Sandtrap, I'd drive it like I stole it and have the biggest perma-grin while I did it.

Its ****ing ridiculous Scott.
PLEASE put some gusseting and cross braces in before the little one drives it....
cheers

It's not a wheeler, its a camp rig that he uses to drive on his property. I've seen worse **** in the old kent junk yards that they'd have no problem throwing 1k pounds in and hitting every rut and hole while driving back.

Sure I'd never drive it on the street, and I'd never actually "wheel" it but I'd hop behind the steering wheel and go bust a couple donuts in a field in a heart beat.

think ATV that's what it is, weve been having tons of fun with it drivin it around, I drive, all the kids ride,

I probably said the same thing to him last time I saw him Nick.
He knows I'll always say that it won't work.....;)

Cool, would look and work even better sitting on some +35" sized mudders.

No worries about changing wheels, I once ran a set of 36" tall x 14.50" wide tires on stock Toyota 6" wheels and they ran fine even at 127MPH.

I had a 4wd subaru justy I put ATV tires on, this reminds me of that and I love it. Haha. If it got high centered two guys could pick up the ass end and get it moving again. Kept blowing clutches so I gave it away to the guy down the street when I had to go back to college :redneck: any updates on this thing?
