Sunday Snow Weelin, Anyone?

Hardline Crawlers - Rock Bouncer Builds, Tech & Off-Road Trail Talk

Help Support Hardline Crawlers:

Mark m. slid into the 2 Yota's on that icy hill. Missing me though!:awesomework: Dangerous:eeek:

Good times guys. Sorry to hear about the rig Kev. Thanks for the message.
I figured I'd rather hit someone elses rig that I didn't know than yours:D
I don't think the other guy saw it that way though.:haha:

If it was anyone here that I ran into and you feel I damaged your rig let me know. Who ever it was didn't have much to say to me till I was driving away then he started yelling **** at me.
My rig had no damage other than paint off my bumper.

If they didn't say anything at time of incident then that is on them. Sucks all around but we all know the risks especially in hard pack/icy conditions.

Flat out Plain lucky no one got hurt...The "What coulda happened very easily but thankfully didn't" scenarios have been engulfing the brain last night and today pretty hard...

Was up late Saturday finishing putting the rig together and ended up just going out for a couple hours on Sunday. Made it to the top of Tinkham in no time passing a few full sizes on the way up, knew we would have to do a bit of rescuing on the way down so we left with plenty of light to spare. Sure enough half way down we ran into a line of cars stopped with an f 150 stuck sideways in the middle of the road. Got him turned around an pointed down hill then let one of his full size buddies continue to drag him down. We continued on our way to play a bit more and i ended up stripping the splines on one of my dirty 30's, the side that goes into the birfield. Overall had a good time, snow was ok.

It broke in the snow? Wow hope thats not what we got to look forword to with T.G. talking over longfield.

Nice Tim:cool: We hijacked your trip thread, but you went wheeling too.:cool:

Let me know if you ever want me and my Sami to slow you down.:redneck:

Yeah, to its defense i was backing up an embankment with wheels turned fully to the left but still should not have broke. 3 years old also so they have seen some abuse. Im thinking the birfield cracked allowing it to open enough for the shaft to spin inside then it just stripped.

I also bought these before they clearly indicated on their website these were made in the USA. Im betting these were the china ones....Oh well. Free replacement. Just sucks to have to wait. If they break again ill find some original Longs.

Well im a bit surprised to say TG came through with no questions asked. Its more of a no communication at all kid of warranty but i ended up with new parts so im happy. Sent the parts in Tuesday last week and the new axle showed up Tuesday this week, not a bad turn around.

Axles now say this:

But also say this:

And ready to be installed.

Overall im happy with how fast this was taken care of. An email or phone call indicating they received my broken part and that they were going to warranty it would have been nice. Will see how well it holds up at Elbe this weekend!

Not raggin on you Paulie...
Not even quite sure why the hell he was trying to go up an ice rink in the first place, better yet why he was still there 20 minutes later after the first incident, AND why wasn't one of his buddies up the hill stopping traffic after the first incident occured...If anyone should be pissed, it's me...but it is what it is, part of the risk you take when out playing in the white stuff is how I look at it...

Sounds like fun:fawkdancesmiley: wish I could have made it. did you have your camera Kev:rolleyes: lets see some pics:swing: of your jeep post run.:redneck:

Ok ok...I finally am getting around to posting up the carnage on my rig...YES I had my camera Doug! :fawkdancesmiley: In the height of the incident, did not get any pics of the two rigs together...but the resulting damage should say enough. The last few pics are of the new to me fenders, grill, hood. No painting required! :cheer:
