Wish I could have spent the $$ on a Warn RC9.0 instead of the M8000, it would have shown off more of this badass grill.

All the tube work is done. Carrier bearing is mounted. Steering column is mounted. Steering reservoir is mounted. Took a few pics at close to ride height. Still have a lot to do but a few steps closer.

Very cool. What are you using for the brakes? Looks like a factory brake bracket cut down? Really liking how this buggy is turning out.

Rear brakes are GM metric (80's Monte Carlo) calipers and 90's GM 1500 rotors with Sky's Off-road brackets. Front is 99 Tacoma rotors and calipers with Front Range Off-road brackets.

Master cylinder and booster is stock 99 Tracker from the drivetrain donor.

Chris has been making progress but I have slacked on posting updates since getting back from vacation.

Brakes and fuel system done. Fan shroud made and radiator modified. Intake done. Orbital mounted and working on steering plumbing now.

Chris has been making more progress on the buggy. It's fully plumbed, he double sheared the steering knuckles, added a storage area in the rear and has started knocking out the interior.

Couple weeks ago he stripped it down and fully welded out the chassis, added the boat sides and mounted all the skid plates. The bottom skid didn't have the holes drilled yet in the pics. It's all countersunk bolts now.

At the base of the seats it’s 49.5” and at the shoulders it’s 53.5”

That’s measured between the B-post

Nice. My next one will be wider like that. I cant change the seats in mine at the moment.

I wish this could be narrower. The Toyota transfer case is tall and the output flanges is up high. I literally have the sides of the seats within a half inch of touching the case. The bottom of the case sits almost on the floor of the belly and the seats still sit over 10” off the floor. Unfortunately the only way I could have made it narrower would have been to mount the seats 6” higher throwing off the whole proportions of the chassis. In hindsight I probably would have leaned the b-pillars in at the top a few more degrees to give the illusion of the chassis being narrower but I didn’t want the drivers head to be unprotected in a rollover.
