how did they do the dually thing on them???

There are some dually toy rear axles out there. Seen some early 80's dually pickups. There was one parked in Lynden forever. Most of the ones i seen where 2wd, so I'm not sure if they used a 7.5" rear end and 5 bolt wheels or 8" with 6 bolt.

The first ones were just 7.5" axles with odd spacers. they had wheel bearing issues so they had a recall on them.

The later ones (WAY more common) are all full loaters with a large 6 lug. 8" diff just like a 2x V6 or 4x. You can replace the large 6 lug hubs with standard solid axle hubs but you have to either make a 5/8" spacer for the flange on the shaft or shorten and respline the shafts.

I have seen the early ones with 2 wheels welded together for the dualls. they where 14" wheels
