Social networking is not hard unless you severely lack common sense. If it's not for you, that's ok too...but I can't stand to hear people gripe about facebook that are on it everyday. There's really nothing to gripe about when you are given a free service that allows you to easily stay in touch with those that you aren't able to see in person as much as you used to or would like to.....yet everybody likes to be "cool" and hate Facebook, when each and every single one of you that hate on it, log in everyday and use this very forum in the EXACT same manner one uses Facebook. Doesn't make any sense to me. If you can't handle a Facebook account, maybe the problem isn't Facebook?

I just unfollowed literally everyone, so now the only thing that shows on my feed are updates from pages that are related to my hobbies, and media coverage of motorsports I'm interested in. I "friend" some of my hobby-friends to see where they are going riding, kayaking, etc.

I haven't used Facebook to communicate with actual people since I was in college and it was just an easy way to invite people to parties and hit on chicks that you just met.

Shut my Failbook page down a couple of years ago. I do not miss it one bit. If i want friends and family to know what i am doing i call them or send them an email.

I love how people blame facebook. It's a fuggin web service. Google is so much more detrimental, but lemme guess what 99% of you use to search them innernets... and lemme guess what 9 of 10 of you use as an email service...

Don't like Facebook, then don't use it. But I suppose, this is the weekly "I hate FB" thread.

FB... atleast you can pick and choose who you want to see, be friends with, So you don't like your feed? change it, LIKE or HIDE posts to suit what you want to see.
I've been defriended on FB by people on here. It tickles me, cause they have to see me on here. Well, some do now. LOL! I have nothing to hide. Too bad for others.

Exactly. My Facebook page is a mix of the funny meme thread, the proud dad's thread, and the eff obama threads. I occasionally troll on a liberal post on the local news station's page, but I prefer to keep my page free of hippie nonsense.
