What size 7075 ??

my question is will 2inch 7075 With1.25 hiems be ok for a trail rig or should I go 2.25od

And is 1.5 big enough for 7/8 hiems


Worries about not having enough material Around the threads and making a weak spot

I'm not sure what everyone else does, but I go 1'' over the size of the heim joint. So, 7/8'' gets 1 7/8'' and 1 1/4 heim gets 2 1/4.

Go with the 2.25 on the lowers if you can make them fit. 2" will be fine on the uppers.


1.5 is plenty of meat for a 7/8 rod end.
