I was born in CA but moved before I developed any memory of it. I currently reside in FL and have lived in GA, MN, MI, and MD as well as spent a lot of time in WI and AL. I voted GA because its where I spent most of my developmental years and is where my heart is and always will be. So "from" is kind of open to interpretation to me because the state I was born in played literally the least role out of anywhere I ever lived in my life.

I met a man while wheeling yesterday whose family has not left a small area in AL for 3 generations. That concept is alien to me.
