Strength for no extra cost ;D It doesn't weigh any more than 5 or 6 lug and I have seen those break to many times.

I thought part of the problem was gear deflection? with the pinion support bearing, I dont thing there will be any issues with that...maybe I am just pullin it out of my ass, dunno

It is definitely in the back of my mind. On most all of the rear engine buggies I have seen out there the rear ring and pinion is riding on the coast side of the gear.
The main reason running on the wrong side of the gear is bad is because the gears try to separate them selves. Like 1TONZR2 said the extra pinion support should hold them together. I am anxious to see what happens with it.

The extra pinion support bearing come built in the 14 bolt housing.Where a Dana axle does not have a support on both sides of the pinion gear head a 14 bolt has one.
I have never checked on a quick change but I did think about them for IFS because there is already stuff built for them to run them on independent hot rods.

I've always thought about a quick change. You could drive to the trails with one gear and swap them around for trails. The only problem I see is the pinion being low, which is negated if you run rear engine, and the rear gears hang out there a long ways. Would be cool though. I wish I had the money to try it out.
I love that all your builds are named after Porno mags. I am looking fwd to project High Society, Cheri amd Perfect 10 ;D
