Punta Cana Vacation Excursions?

That's what my buddy said, haha. He's a big Natty drinker and said Presidente wasn't bad at all, so you should be good to go :drinkers:

I'm a beer drinker. I like them all. Some more than others, but my favorite one's a cold one.

I've been looking at the Jeep Safari. Seems legit. Also, the buggy adventures. This sounds really cool too. I want to see the local life and outside of the resort. That's half the reason were staying so long, that and I haven't had more than a long weekend off in two years.

Where did you stay?

We stayed at the Grand RIU(pretty sure that's the name), The outlying area is a shithole. It reminded me of Iraq with another language. :****:

Neither will being on a boat for 5 days with an onboard casino. Haha. BUT....how much are beers on board the ship? I think I read $5.25 a piece? I will drink more some days than others, but lets just say an average of 12 beers per day, that's 60 beers in 5 days. At $5.25 a piece, that's only $315.

Cruise for both Casie and I is only $950 for 5 days and food is included, plus $315 worth of alcohol for me, and she won't drink enough to even note. We will leave out casino spendings because that would be the same if I went to dominican republic too. So a total of roughly $1265 for a 5 day cruise to Cozumel and Progresso, Yucatan. Oh and maybe $60 worth of gas driving back and forth to the port in Mobile. So $1,325 total.

I have not found an all inclusive 5 or 6 day package for two to anywhere in the bahamas or dominican republic for less than $1500 per person, so $3000+ total. So there's a huge savings of nearly $1700 between the two vacations.

Show me where both of us can go for about $1500 and we'll book a flight! Hell you can't even rent a hotel in Gulf Shores for 5 nights for what it costs to go on a cruise to mexico with food included.

We went on a cruise to Cozumel prolly around 07, I drank a lot! It cost me $1500 total, all inclusive to punta Cana cost me $3000, I preferred all inclusive over the cruise, but I would cruise again

Presidente isn't that bad. :****: Last cruise we went on, July of 2015, was a Carnival cruise and you could purchase an alcohol package....covered X amount of drinks per day. Nuff to keep the day/night enjoyable! :drinkers:
Plus cheaper than "by the drink" if you choose to partake of several while cruising. Just ask for complete total because they'll add taxes and fees and **** to it. Do the math and make your choice.

And gratuity. Drink package is $50 + gratuity if prepaid, or $55 + gratuity if paid on the ship and includes max of 15 drinks, which I will probably never surpass. Looks like $5.75 per 16oz Miller Lite. I would have to drink at least 10 or more before I began saving money between buying individually and paying for the drink card. I am also curious about how the ship moving is gonna fawk with me while I drink. I don't feel that I have a sea-sick problem, but I really don't like riding in the back of a vehicle. It's not anything crazy, but some things do make me a little dizzy. The last thing I want to do is drink a lot and be sea-sick and miserable on my honeymoon. molaugh

Take Dramamine (spelling?) Or get one of the motion sickness bracelets. Only did either first couple times we cruised, both work. Doesn't bother me now. You'll be fine! :drinkers:

Buy the large "whitening" mouthwash at walmart. Dump it out. Fill with liquor of your choice. Put one in each suitcase with other toiletries. When you get on the ship buy the unlimited soda package for ~$50. Take a flask with you and booze it up.

Experienced cruiser. Part time alcoholic. Full time parent.

Re:

Think you can bring wine on a ship, and possibly beer? But has to be in a can or a carton, no plastic bottles of water because of people sneaking liqour in. To combat this, they sell 12 packs of water bottles now for 3.99. Think that all changed last year.

We usually take one carnival cruise a year and this has been our strategy to get booze on the boat. They scan luggage and will confiscate beer or liquor of any kind. They do allow one bottle of wine per person but it has to be declared and sent on the ship separate from your baggage. It is delivered to your room after the ship is out at sea. We aren't wine drinkers, but really like to mix copious amounts of Listerine in our coke. :drinkers:

Awesome Lol. I'm not a liqour dranker, so I guess I'll be spending $300 on Miller Lite and Corona. :drinkers:

I was on some alabama website and said governemnt fee was $170 and another fee was $25? Maybe I just need to check with local courthouse.

They told us to stop at a walgreens or cvs to have our pictures made. We took our pictures up there, and filled some paperwork out. There were two separate fees, but it added up to be around $110. Maybe the $200 price is them doing the pictures :dunno:
