Project "Secret Squirrel"

moves the axle back about an inch. I did the same thing on mine but moved it forward an inch to move the tire away from the fender
Actually unless I'm blind or just dumb (wouldn' be the first time :D) these are setup to move the axle forward

Is this reading of the month?:fawkdancesmiley:

Yeah I am going to do hinges ...eventually to fold down in anticipation in avoiding carnage. Hope I get it before I destroy it:awesomework:

sweet let me know when your maiden voyage is, We can warm up on BYS and SOL..:redneck:

actualy it depends on where the center bolt is on the spring pack. Their not always in the center of the spring so it could go either way:eeek:

So since we didn't have ANY throttle cables. I went and looked at the throttle cable on my 85' celica--which was very close to(if not the same) the truck version... So I had jack grab a throttle cable from a pickup. And it worked perfectly........

jack400.jpg

Now the stock hole on the zook has a sloped stamped hole--not very friendly for the flat mounted style of cable. Now if you wanted to you could cut that out and plate the firewall--I just chose to move it over--drill a few holes and mount it up..

jack401.jpg

Now the stock zook GO pedal is totaly different with how the cable is retained compared to the toyota stuff. So I lopped the top section off the pedal assembly and built a new section. Then I adjusted the pedal (has stops for idle/wide open throttle)--And I did some hard slaps of the throttle and the pedal doesn't deflect at all......

jack403.jpg

At this time I deced to go ahead and finish up the brakes from the master to the pedal. And that actually turned out quite easily. All I did was find a long 10m bolt--lopp the head off and used the stock attachment at the pedal. And then I figured what the hell--I bled the brakes and only had one leak....

jack404.jpg

So the next big thing to tackle--was the shackles. I wasn't really happy with "how they looked" but that wil work fine. If I had a nice brake press that could do some thick material--I would have done them that way... But in any case the front of the rig is finaly sitting on its own..

Oh ya--tight fit,lol...

So I stopped by napa on my lunch break today and went thru there hoses and came up with a plan for the heater hoses. What I did was basically just get 3 sections of hose (5/8") with 90 degree ends. Now the 5/8" hose was a tad big at the heater core--but not big enough to seal against the heater core tubes..

jack409.jpg

But the ends when cut just right gave JUSt enough room for protection from rubbing against the back of the head(Picture is decieving)

jack410.jpg

And both sections of hose just loop up and around. I had thought about cutting the heater pipe on the drivers side because it points to the drivers side--but I opted not to due to the nipple thats near the end for the pipe thats for the hose from the throttle body. So at the end of the pipe is where the other 90 degree went--worked pretty slick and should be ok..

jack411.jpg

I still have to secure the hose near the main junction block but other wise they are done.

I also grabbed a new temp sensor that matched the stock guage--figured it was a GREAT idea for jack to know where the temp sat lol..

jack412.jpg

And now came the moment

jack413.jpg

Yup--I made a mess, lol. The bleeders I installed on the pipes near the motor helped--but I ended up still needing to pull one of the hoses that fed the throttle body to help bleed the air out of the system. But once I got most of the air out--the coolant started moving and the tubing got hot. Now there is still air in the system and I will need to get it out--but due to no exhaust---I can only handle runing it for a little bit at a time.

PSC also sent another power steering cooler--I replaced that and guess what---nooo more leak...

Dang mike you are a machine!

Thing is getting really close....HOT LAPS ARE IN THE NEAR FUTURE!:haha:

Really, you're the one waiting for air bubbles, and making messes trying to get rid of them:fawkdancesmiley: That job would have been done inside of 5 minutes.

I won't argu this but I have a reason for doing things how I do them--and i will explain them to ya the next time I see ya.. I work at 120% proficiancy easily....:awesomework:
