Adding an additional fuel supply fitting

Currently my fuel cell has the fuel supply line coming off the right side and it's probably an 1" or so off the bottom. Unfortunately, when my buggy is leaning hard to the driver side, the fuel of course shifts away from that supply opening. I'm thinking that adding a supply opening (bulkhead fitting) on the left side would take care of my problem but I wasn't sure if having 2 lines coming off the tank connecting with some sort of "Y" or "T" prior to the pump would work okay as far as flow is concerned. Is this a solid concept? Is there anything else I should be considering?

I know this probably isn't the best solution (would rather have some sort of sump) but I'd like to explore a reliable quick fix before heading up to Canada at the end of the month.

Input welcome

You would need to figure out how to get the one side without fuel to not suck air

have put the Walbro pick ups in my last 3 builds including the new buggy and will keep using them for as long as I can buy them. Only other way to do it is a fairly deep baffled sump.

is there a linc to these fittings? i will have the same issue only front to back.

on my buildup i'm using two small 5psi (carb type) electric fuel pumps to supply a surge tank, then taking my main EFI pump feed off the surge tank. Haven't done it yet, but shouldn't be too hard.

Also, quick note that circa 1990 VW jetta/golf (digifant, not CIS) used a similar arrangement, with a small fuel pump in the tank feeding a surge tank, so you could use the external fuel pump from a VW.
