attn.TIG welders: miller syncrowave 250

Those welds are pretty boys. But how do they work under extreme useage and abuse, Ive found out over the years that good looks dont get you every thing. Dam close tho.:kissmybutt:

I did your crossover steering and front crossmember about 5 years ago, how are the welds holding up?

I've never tig welded, but I weld... Grew up around welders... Dads an x-ray on 45* cert welder...

Most of the high school project welds I've seen in this thread are from wanna be bench welders... Other than Corey, I have yet to see some skills from anyone welding off the bench...

Again, I'm not a tig welder... But, I can tell that most of the rest of you are not either...
 
TIG welding is uncommon in our hobby because it is time consuming and the design and fitment of the parts is just as critical as the finish welds.

Traction bar mounts.........sitting on the floor under a Jeep TIG welding overhead is really challenging

I just TIG welded this 4runner cage, it had close to 80 welded joints.

not talking ****, BUT! lets see who can weld two pop cans together? no, not me...but my brother can! and I bet if mr. magic metals knows the right people he knows my brother!
 
Welding pop cans is way out of my league.:haha:

I made this up a few months ago with a TIG welder and some other tools laying around. All hand made, no store bought railing junk here. :;
