It's sad an 8.8 with posi and 3.73s will cost less or as much as a locker for the 35 #ballinonabudget

True. $50 at pull a part.

Bought a 2150 Motorcraft Carb from Gronk Performance on EBay. Got it mounted up and started hooking it up and the directions say "you will have to fix your own brackets" Ad online said "everything you need to get your 2150 installed and running on your 258" :dunno:

Report that **** to EBAY.

False ads like that burn me up. Bought some seatbelts one time that were not at all as described (new belts)... The seller didn't think it was a problem!

2150 is a good carb

I wouldn't say "false" ad. He has been very helpful with answering my questions. I would hesitate to buy it again, just wish I would have known I needed to fab up a bracket.

Just wanted to throw this out there buddy, when I got my jeep it had I believe TJ springs (maybe waggy) in the rear with pro comp shocks, and leafs in the front. I have no clue if it would help but I still have all the rear stuff , my buddy got the leafs.. But your more than welcome to whatever I have left:. I'm a hoarder BAD and seem to suck at selling but I'm great at giving it away! Haha. Shoot me a pm if Ya want Em, or needin any random **** and I'll look to see if I got it. :dblthumb: just wanted to offer ... It I could help Ya and clear some **** out I'd be happy.

I will take that red jeep in your avatar. It would clear out way more room than a few parts. Let me know :rolf:

Thanks for the offer. I am working on carb swap and rear end change right now. If the wife gets to where she wants more rig, I will look at upgrading. I will surely keep you in mind!!!!

You talking about the throttle linkage bracket?

Yep. Got to the last page of the directions and it says "This may or may not be needed Do whatever works for you" It is not a problem to make the brackets, I just wasn't expecting to.

When I saw this thread I thought Alan Clark was building something! :****: :****:
