in tha garage blowing smoke...
So I showed my buddy this .. He's been looking for a crawler thats ready to drive. He's on a budget, I have showed him countless ads off here, and apparently he's worried bout the way it looks over function and performance. .. I have told him over and over that the most capable rigs for his price range usually ain't purdy. With that being said here's wat he's probally gonna pick up tomorrow. Just wondering what yAll more experienced fellas thought. Keep in mind he will more than likely be givin it hell!! He's a moron.
Here's tha ad and pics of it. Tell me ur opinion. Please. Thanks!!

looks like it has a 5 lug rearend in it i thought 3/4 was 8 lug could be wrong though

Cheap but will be yard saled right off the trailer if diven hard.

Wont take any gassin at all

Kevin's right - for that money a yota on small stickies would be the ticket

If I was looking in that price range a yota or sami with stock injection and good shafts would be what I would keep my eye out for. So much more dependable and capable

No title sucks, kills resale.
Axles are a few hundred dollars at most. Ration unknown? Probably a stock 3.73 or 3.54 if they are stock shafted and welded.
Not a lot of good parts on there.
The motor can be had anywhere for a few hundred. The propane I'm unsure of the cost.
Tcase is around $200

I told him 1000 times about Toyotas and samurais.. I've also told him Word for Word everything you have pointed out.. So hardheaded! He also needs a few more seats than a Toyota.. That's why I was thinking jeep. After doing research I've noticed that the four and $5000 range; seems to jump to about 7 to 10,000 for something very capable and in decent shape.. I'm just going to forward him this link. I agree with what everyone has said. The title thing was an issue also.

Much better deal IMO.

Come get it the weekend of the DADFL Benefit ride at the Flats and ride that sucker to test it out. Aint but 45 minutes or so from where the Jeep is.

^^^^ agreed that thing isnt bad for the upgrades and time already put in to it but i think this is a better deal for the buck :driving: :****:

Well I showed him a few off of here, kind of out of his price range. I showed him all of the YJ's, and it appears that with One tons, suspension etc that's when the price range jumps a few thousand. He would like to have more than two seats. But I did just tell him that he will often find himself by his self or maybe at least just his son with him when we go ride. I just know that he is one of us typical maniacs that presses the gas a lot. Okay maybe worse than most! BhahHa. Wanted him to enjoy something and not be broke all the time. And I I agree 100% if the mashes the gas with those axles it's over.
