im doing some new work on the red dragon. ill be putn pics up as i get them onto the computer and as i get things done.

since i dont have pics of what it looks like currently its a suzuki sj410 that ive cut the body off from the firewall back and have caged it all, toy axles 5.29 welded rear warn hubs, yj springs front and rear, 4.9.1 in tcase, use to have a 1.0 liter engine in it swaped in a 1.3, header, ford motorcraft weber carb, accel coil, gm alt, ac pump for on board air fire extinguisher for tank, celica powere steerong box, custom over the top steering made with tractor ends, 5 point harnesses, 12 gallon gas tank. 1.3 master brake (originaly didnt have a booster it was all me brakeing) and thats about it

things to do...

first project is the stock sami bolting locations on the frame (one mounts on the drivers side and two on the passenger side) have bent very bad and all the bolt holes are ovals now. there for leting my tcase flop around. ive gone through like 5 tcases now and nothings working so ganna try something new.

making a skid plate that my t-case will bolt to and will bolt threw the frame rails. and the t-case will bolt to two pads that will be just like stock but also making one that will bolt to the back flange were theres four unused bolt holes and a smaller tab in the front were the two lowest bolts will be bolted through. probly doesnt make sense but i guess youll see the pics as they come.

second project ive destroyd the front of the samurai to the point its just not worth keeping and its tearing up my tires.

will be tearing the front clip off and replacing the fire wall and tubing the front adding a bumper and winch. end result will have the winch be in the engine compartment. (radiator is located in the rear) the hood will be narrowed in the front and the lights will be relocated into the engine compartment and shine through the grill.

third project is quarter ellipting the rear. my wheelbase right now is just way to short and with the 36's and that same wheelbase just love to flip over up and anything steep.

so by doing the quarter ellipt itll be moving my rear axle to the end of my frame and with 36's will make me not have a departure angle and have a wheelbase of about 98" (distant future will move front axle forward about 5" when moneys better for coil/airshock/coilovers whatever i end up doin.) will be three linking it with a wishbone design for top link and the spring will bolt strait to the frame.

project four tin roof and electronic consule center thing built into the roof, with cd player, cb, all switchs for lights/ fans/ horns, and two speakers

project five makeing a dash

sorry i dont have pics yet will have them soon of before and as the projects go will have pics of the new.

Ya--thats me. you didn't see the big lazer looking thing on it? Built a new thingy that makes rigs fall over by the pish of the button,lol....

I think you took the sami out after the top was cut off and only had one piece of tube on it...

got some pics

so i got some pics here is what im starting with the hood and the front clip are pretty much just destroyed and not worth keeping gary sorry about the grill its still yours if you want it. the last pic is for you so you can see it. amazingly i have never had to replace those head lights look at all the dent around them and no protection yet never lost one.

cuting time

so i got the front clip cut off and have been slowly cutting away between the frame rails

the pic with the scribbles is the basic idea of the cage in the front. the new grill will look like the original one just with the runs beenen made of steel tubings the same diameter. then the headlights will be mounted behind them and the winch below that in the space left. and all the cage work in the front will be bolt on next to the firewall and down near the base of the winch so when doing engine things or if i swap in a bigger or different engine i can unbolt it and have lots of room to work.

oh lol your talking about my one hour cage lol went to a buddys house who has a tube bender and bent two loops the very rear one and the middle one and the bender broke. so i had two loops and needed a cage so i put the middle in the front then did tubes goin fron the front to the back its was very goofy looking. ill try and find a pick of it.

somemore

got some more done. got the firewall removed with some help. and removed the steering wheel and im not looking forward to the wiring i wireing.

why is your rig at brents now?

and the puppys names d-o-g(deeogee)

i dont like sheet metal it dents...oops who knew

skid plates done!

i finally got to do some work on it. got the skid plate done. made it out of 3/16 steel and is botled on through the frame with 10 grade 8 bolts. now i have to make some 4 towers that the tcase will bolt to. two will be the stock locations witch have 4 bolts each the other two will be one in the front that uses two bolts on the bottum. and the other will bolt to four bolt holes that go around the back flange. hopefully this will make it solid and never move and hopefully wont blow anymore tcases up!
