    Good websites for finding rigs....

best place for a new one would be the Vendor section on www.rccrawler.com. So far they have the lowest prices around on items. The crawler store (TCScrawler). would be my first stop. The RPP hobbies..

I'm still "pitching" them to companies. As soon as I know something I'll let you all know.

make spacers or get nylon ones from lowes, tacoma screws or where ever. bolts are cheap anywhere.

    Gonna give it a try!

defenatly go with the 8 cell. I have 7 cells only because my ESC will not handle an 8th.. Saw this today on RCC. forsale section. Spektrum DX3, not 3.0. (it HAS the 3 position 3rd channel) 2 RX'x, both almost brand new, one of them has only been used a couple times, one of them has only been...

    Gonna give it a try!

Looks like a nice set up. I'd suggest going w/ a lipo battery if you can afford it (charge and pack). I haven't been able to but will as soon as I can. from what I hear better run times and a little more punch. If you're going with NIMH get the elite 1500 smaller and work well. Check with...

    Gonna give it a try!

with the budget you are planning you should have a really good comp rig. I probably have less than $450 total into mine..

    tranny options

From my understanding the old and new pedes are the same inner gears.. But for $50 you can get an AX-10 tranny nice and small (compact) comes locked.. I figure you'll end up spending around $20 or so for the replacement gears maybe(probably) more if they are metal. That's a major part of the...

    Lost pin......

You can pick one up at any Hobby shop. If you can't find one, I've used a thick paper clip or any piece of metal that will fit in the whole. It'll work till you find a replacement.

    My 'new-to-me' TLT Crawler

nice. remember to keep your weight as low as possible. maybe lay the tranny on it's side to lower the weight of the motor. It's ok for it to stick outside the chassis some, most comp rigs do.

maybe you guys can get me one for my Xmas+Bday present. LOL

    Kyles REVAMP!!!!

Looks great. One thing I think I'd do is put the battery on top of the servo. Velcro then use a zip tie to keep it there. The body looks good too. Personally I'd lower it some. But thats just me.

My New Scorpian 72 Chevy Crawler

That's looking pretty good. I honestly wouldn't worry about the rear steer unless you just have to have it. Check out WARCRC I'm sure there is someone there wanting to do a little crawling this weekend. JJ

    Good steering servo?

Not as good as the above mentioned but you can get by with a tower pro 945 and it's around $30 and I think a little better than a 965.? But as todd said you notice it when you really need it. But when I get big I'll get a real strong one. :)

    Kyles REVAMP!!!!

Looking really good so far. Lock out the rear and it'll be ready. The shock placement looks good and will give it some nice flex but not too much. I found the body finally and will be shipping it in the morning. it was in a box under some other boxes that shouldn't even be in the garage...
