    Another brakeline hill casualty

I have seen more carnage on brakeline than any other trail. Here is my latest contribution... I carry spare axles with me so it wasn't a huge problem. Except for the damaged seal. Put everything back together and drove off the mountain. While I was repairing the truck I watched a few...

    The Wilkerson Saloon

Some friends of mine own it and said if you show your trail pass you will get 10% off your tab. They have a real good cook there and the beer and soda is cold!! Let them know you heard about it from Ken.

    Evans Creek improvements...

The improvements are taking form. The parking lots are clean and smooth at both the entrance and day use area. Looks like they are enlarging the camp ground or making another road into it. The width restrictions that were placed at the entrance to 311 are now also being placed @ 198 and the main...

    After market coils

Has anyone put an accell or MSD coil on their 22R? I am sure someone has. I was looking at it last night and thought it would work but which wires would I use? Is there a wiring diagram posted somewhere that I missed with my search? Sort of thinking out loud more than anything I guess.

    Load compensator(?) deletion help

Has anyone replaced/deleted the braking valve for the rear axle that compensates for increases in load weight for the rear brakes? I have swapped in an Isuzu axle in the rear of my '84 toyota and no longer want or need it. What have others used to delete it? I am having a real hard time finding...

    Locker problems

Has anyone ever come across the bolts being too short? It is a toyota 8" front solid axle diff with what I believe to be a detroit locker and a yukon 4.56 gear set. The bolts only grab about 4 threads of the ring gear. The Yukon replacement bolts are exactly the same length as factory. It...

    I need opinions please...

I am looking to put in a locker in the front axle. But, like most, the funds are tight. The least expensive option is the lock-rite. Next in line is the Detroit. Here in lies the problem, well about 300 of them actually. There is a $300 dollar difference. Will the lock-rite hold up to an '84...

    Putting it back together.

84 toyota extended cab Blew up the front end a few months ago. Finally getting around to putting it together. Putting an ARB in the front and a new housing. Taking a spare Isuzu rear disc brake housing and adding the welded diff back in. I will add a line lock E-brake to ease the installation...

How many folks here run a modified camshaft?

Or better yet... how many want too? I now work for Delta Cam and talked my boss into giving the off-roaders some love! Call me and mention this forum and I'll see that you get 10% off any order for any vehicle. Ken Delta Cam 1-800-562-5500

    Vacuum lines and the weber

OK, I did search but seem to have failed miserably. Just did a Weber swap(thx spring85) but I need to know which port is best to use for the vacuum advance, the one closest to or furthest away from the distributor. Which vacuum supply do people use on the 22r for the distributor? Thanks!

    Diff ?'s

I don't remember the ratio for figuring compatible diff ratio's. I have a 4.37 welded third member and I have an open 4.30 third. Can I swap them? If not, it looks the the carriers are the same. So if all else fails I think I can swap them instead. Or, I suppose I could just weld the open diff...
