You see a lot of that type of stuff in the deserts down here. Most of them are junk and under-powered. I've known a few people that have bought stuff just like that(for the kids) only to get rid of it within a year or so.

Dustin lives about 1/2 mile from me, about 2 miles the other way is a heat treating place that could easily do a rig. They don't even charge that much. Problem is that you would need a jig to keep it from tweaking and the jig would be hughly expensive.

This chit cracks me up.:haha: DOM is HREW DOM...same stuff only drawn...as long as you are in the 1020 and above carbon range. And "moly" (chromium-molybdenum) comes as (an example) 4130 DOM. But for a layman cage DOM(1020) should be strong enough at 80kPSI,,,,the 4130 gets you to 100kPSI...

Just went to the TR site...they use 6061 T6 ( a heat treated material)....when wleding 6061 it softens to about t nothing. I was just wondering if they do anything to make the alum stronger again.

Do you know if they heat treat them after weld to draw them back to T-6?
