    Programers

I have two friends running the Smarty Jr on auto trucks. The truck with gauges noticed cooler EGT's when towing by 100deg or so. The gauged truck also had a fuel mileage increase of 1-2mpg. The second truck has no gauges. Second truck noticed a .5mpg increase. Both trucks are running slightly...

    Truck campers

Looking to pick up the Arctic Fox 811 for my shortbed rig this weekend. Just added Pacbrake airbags. Swaybar arrives tomorrow. Already had the SuperHitch from Craigslist. I preferred a used unit. Wife decided otherwise. I liked the new S&S Campers. The new S&S also have great slide out stairs...

    tow rig wheels

Will 19.5" rims fit on a Powerstroke? Some Dodge guys run these rims/tires. They're much higher rated than OEM. I think they also get more mileage out of a typical set. http://www.ricksontruck.com/

    exhaust brake ?

The PRXB does work great at low RPM's on my 6spd manual. I think on the newer auto's the brake disengages at 22mph.

    exhaust brake ?

Ebrake also help cold start warmup time. If twins are in your future might opt for an inline vs elbow replacement. Friend has a BD on his 99' CTD. I have a Pacbrake PRXB on my 06'. Both work great slowing the weight.

    Dodge CTD Questions... *Newbie Alert*

Should've come out to the Power Shop this last weekend. All kinds of configurations and power combo's. I agree with Jeff's opinions/facts. For further info check out www.tdr1.com. It's a pay site, free to lurk. There are other free diesel websites. I like the TDR. Because of the minimal fee it...

Trailer brake wiring, '99 Dodge 2500

I'm not sure about the 99's. The Dodge's I've seen the plug is near the Emergency brake. It's Blue.

    12v or 24v ?

I'd prefer to have a 96'-98' Manual 12V in my 06' Mega. With the Smarty at stock my previous 96' 12V had the same power as my 06' Mega as tested at DDP dyno. The 12V had better mileage and better smoke.

Who did you smoke today? Diesels only need respond.

Need to get my Smarty back from my friend. I let him borrow it to get him hooked. No smoke without it.

    1995 YJ flat towing

Unless you pull the driveshafts do NOT flat tow the YJ. Friend of mine just had the auto rebuilt. They figured flat towing would be ok. They towed to the Rubicon and never wheeled. Expensive repair.

    Pic of a trailer...

I took these a few weeks ago. This was his second time towing this configuration. He's going to build steps for the trailer exit soon. Trailer is a 26' trailer with 1' tongue extension. It's rated for 12k.

    Dodge trackbar fix?

On my 96' I used the Napa Tracbar. It has a lifetime warranty. Swap out is very easy.

    Dodge Upgrades

Agree with the fuel pressure gauge. Have you upgraded the fuel lift pump? Fass? Walbro? Does your Edge model have gauges? A cheap turbo upgrade would be to add one of a manual transmission truck. I think the auto's came with an HY-9, while the manual was Hx35. Also, add a DSS and 3rd gen tracbar.

    CTD Fuel economy

Never take anything to Jiffy Lube. Especially a diesel. You're also done using anything Fram. Fram is not made to OE specs. Look at the box of other filter makers. They're made to meet or exceed OE specs. DDP's website hasn't been updated. http://www.dynomitediesel.com/

    exhuast brake

Put my first one on in January. Don't know how I lived without it. Saw your sig mentioned Ford. Club member is a Ford dealership mechanic. They had a Ford come in with a Banks Ebrake. Owner used the Ebrake the entire time coming down the pass (I-90?). It overheated the engine. Engine was not...

    CTD Fuel economy

Use only oil rated for diesel. It's designed to hold soot. I use Delo from Costco. I also only use Fleetguard filters from Cummins NW. They're not the only place that sells it. Just convenient for me. You could pay twice as much for the same filter from Mopar. Dropped my truck off this morning...
