    Right on thanks for the info. Have you guys used the engine builders gasket kits? are the head gaskets up to snuff? read mixed reviews.

    Wire wheel the sealing surface? That seams risky. I was going to use a lapping tool and grinding compound and clean the seats that way and then cheak for leaks again.

    So im in the middle of a over haul on my 22re head. My valves are caked with some nasty stuff im looking for a safe way to clean them up. I know not to work on the seating surface. But what kind of abrasive would be safe to get the crap (mud) off. Also got a bit of build up on some of the piston...

    Jet band saw problem!

    So the roller guides are what hold the blade perpindicular to the work on this saw. When i took the guides loses the blade moved 45 degrees! and there is only adjustment in the back roller not the side ones.

    So first off i got a Jet HVBS-463 stationare band saw. It has not wanted to cut straight at all. (blade dives in the deeper it cuts) So i got a new blade and messed with the feeds and speeds and still cant get it to down feed with out the blade bowing off to the clamp side. Please if any one...

    we are going up Sunday. we got to do alittle tunning on the rig on saturday. but its almost ready to role. ow ya this is the guy that has had that beast in my garage for 6 months!
