81 toyota project

Looks like a D44. Puts some cromos in it and its good to go. I mean, he did make a Yota axle last this long.:corn:

Well heres what ill be working with...

Front:
93 dodge 60
5.13 gears
narrowed to 64.5 wms
6lug
35 spline inner and outters w/spicer life joints
35 spline warn locking hubs
35 spline ARB
ballistic fab diff cover
BTF steering arms
high angle toy60 flange

Rear:
D60
5.13 gears welded
narrowed to 61.5 wms
6lug
toyo 60 hybrid axle kit
retains toyota brakes
35 spline 1541h shafts
ballistic fab diff cover
BTF truss
high angle toy60 flange

Rear axle needs some work, front will stay pretty much the same

more pics to come

Im starting with the rear, got springperches, trac bar mount, shock tabs and truss cut off. Got everyting all cleaned up. Took off the drum brakes and will be putting on my disk brakes. BTF truss will be put back on after pinion angle is set and more truss added on out to the end of the axle. Also shaved have a little bit of the bottom. I really want to redo my rear suspension but this seems to work for me so it will probably stay the same.

time for a small update...

front axle in and ready, rear axle all ready but not in.

Ive been working on some other little things like...

-building dual propane tank mounts cause one tank just doesnt cut it
-adding tabs around the roof line for a roof panel
-adding tabs and bracket to hold things on around the rig in place of zipties
-stripped the interior and back half and sanded and painted to make it all fancy again.

heres a few pics
