90's throw back....Manche build

Or we could just do it like this....

Re:

Finally some shop time today, been slammed with business.

Was able to get the rockers cut out today and get the cab sitting on the subframe. Amazingly, the outside of the rails was the exact measurement of the inside of the pinch weld on the rockers. You can also see how the interior side rests on top of the rail, 1.75" higher than the bottom of the door. Over-all, a very good fit.

looking good. Did you build the jack stands? If so where did you get the screw part from?

Good progress today. Got the front axle and link locations finalized. Cycled the suspension and cleared/trimmed the cab sheet metal. Also got the rear link lengths nailed down, aligned and cycled.

The truck is now sitting at full bump. 8" up in front and 10" up in rear.

Managed to get 40 degrees of steering, with the lower links being the limiting factor.

Also started assembly of the Goatbuilt ram mount for fabricated housing. The upper links will mount off the back corners of this. A very simple, yet effective design with a removable skid for ram service.

I've been looking into running that myself, let me know how you like it.
Psc wouldn't ship me a 10" ram until I knew the exact throw. So I Won't get to mount it yet, or build the upper link mounts until that arrives. But I like the construction. I will still use a forward truss to protect the chrome, but it will still allow the removal of the skid.

I am trying to decide if I should order the link tower and it, or just make link mounts off of it. I don't have a torch mate or plasma, and would like something a little cleaner than the square tube truss on my current 60.

It's 14" wide. If you have the space, you could certainly build off it. I plan to, and suggest some additional plating left and right though. I will tie my link towers into my bump pads. I personally feel a forward facing truss does more good than a vertical, especially as much as we run into ****.
