90's throw back....Manche build

Will the motor come out the top? Amazing build, and fab work sir!!
Thanks paddler.

No it will not. The cowl and windshield prevent that.

I built this little engine cart, put the truck on the lift, drop front axle, strap engine, remove headers and cross member, attach stand to motor mount bosses, raise truck, roll engine away.

I will later adapt cart to bolt to engine cradle, to eliminate one step above.

Nice, that was kinda what i thought, but could not tell if the motor would clear out the bottom. Really cool build!

More doing...

Interior tubing close to being done. Got the dash and windshield V installed and tied into the front clip. Still more diagonal bracing to fit. Few more shop days this week...hope to have the roof back on by end of the week.

Awesome man. This is going to be a sick rear engine Manche. ;D That whole front bumper set up is tech and clean as balls.
Also you'll want to double shear that passenger upper link mount.

Thanks nhl. Also glad to hear your maiden voyage went well.

Had to get out of the interior today. Trying to sketch and imagine interior paneling and dash/ plumbing/ wiring layout has exhausted my brain power the last two evenings. Hung 6-7 more tubes today. As far as I can get under hood til radiator arrives.

Some of Patooyee's head plates would fit nice right behind those 2 bars for added rigidity.
I had thought about that. If I had rigid mounted everything that would be a no brainer. But since everything is in bushings, going to stay with the three legged approach for flexibility in the drive train.

Thanks 5 bros.

Lots done today. All the triangulated lacing on the back half is done. Still a little work to do to mount the bumps. Went ahead and slugged the roof line for C pillar (.188), and got drivers side bent and fit. Just a few gussets and tubes left for the interior and the roof goes back on.

Mo work. Finished the second C pillar, got the door bars in and one window bar. (Door bar will most likely be removable at a later date. )

Hey matt, with the goat built subframe, what did your frame side vertical separation end up at. I'm working on mine now and trying to figure out my upper placement on the frame side.

I can get that measurement for ya in morning.

Big thanks @ol'Jeeps for banging out these tube gussets for me last week and getting my radiator sped in. Got the gussets installed today. Couple more tubes and I can finally get the cab back on.
