I got these numbers with the multimeter

Key on not running-4.77v

idle-1.15-1.25v

Throttle held at 3.5k rpm-1.5-1.6v

Instant throttle wide open and release-3.9-4.2v
after release-.2-.4v (until it idles again)

Now Is this close to normal or do I have a bad MAP sensor/reading?

Runs real rough on cold startups, when warm and driving it wants to die when I come to a stop or go from drive to reverse or park to drive/reverse.

thx for any help.

Id suggest if your new on these (if its TBI) got o schucks and buy the FUEL INJECTION BOOK itll cover everything you need if your a diag beginner. those specs you listed can have many variables. the book WILL help you.

If it was in front of my bench, I would check:

-exhaust leaks ahead of the O2? (causes cold run issues)
-IAC (idle air control valve, gets all crappy inside the TBI unit)
-MAP (try tapping it with a screwdriver, see if it changes)
**CTS ( coolant temp sensor, if its reading wrong, it changes the fuel curve)
-TPS but i doubt it...
