95 Toyota x-cab.

nice build.
i like that t-case mount/xmember. but, you think it needed 3/8" steel? thats a HEAVY piece. you think 1/2", or even 1/4" would have worked?

HAHA
in case you havent checked your tape measure lately, 3/8 is still between 1/4 and 1/2.

Built a jig to bend some 7/16 cold roll for some flush mount tie downs.
I will post more pics later 2 day with the bed sides done.
Heres 1 teaser pic

Also built a slip roll to radius the diamond plate for the bed sides.
And the twin sticks I got came with standard threads on the ends, so you cant even use toyota shifter knobs (bullshit). So after trying to tap them with no luck, I cut them off and welded smaller dia shaft, that I could tap.

Been working on some lighting.
Found these 2" LED running lights for $6 ea with about $5 shipping.

So With a little research I found voltage or amps, not sure which, are
controlled by resistors to keep LED from being over powered and burning out.
I calculated LED resistors for 24 volts, so at 12 volts they only get 1/2 the juice, which makes them opperate at 1/2 brightness for tail lights and normal full brightness for brakes.

Next prob is hooking 2 wires(brake, tail) to one lead of a normal running light. When the brakes are on it back feeds and lights the dash lights. So using a diode on the brake wire fixs this.
Because diodes opperate like a one way valve, Only allows current one way.

One apparent prob with leds is lack of amp draw to opperate the turn signal flasher correctly, with a larger resistor wired across the +/- leads of the running lights, this is fixed.

Heres my home made Brake, Tail, and Turns.
Wires were soldered to the wires comming from the circut board.
The 330 Ohm for tails
The 1 Amp 600V diode for brakes
The 10 Ohm 10 Watt res for turns.

damn those fawkers are huge, hope they aren't goin up front:eeek:

other then that this is one bad ass yota:cool: , not tryin to knock you bout your score on the coil overs, but i no this kid has them in the rear of his yota, and there fawkin long and bulky as fawk alittle over kill, just my .02

Its going to be streetable. So I can take it out hunting, haul my quad and maybe a load of wood some days. So I didnt think 2" airs would be adequate for heavy loads.
Also remember the Ranger on Xtreme 4X4? Some day might try to get some air time. But the truck is getting a little heavy.
I managed to fit 14" SAW in the rear but the truck is a little high, so the 12s are going in the back and 14s up front.

Sorry didnt know if anyone was still following what was up. So ya been doing a lot.
Got some new tools, like a HF powder coater, bad ass, and some dimple dies. Pic of my
oven. It has a additional thermostat wired in to the broil element so you can run the
bake and broil elements at the same time and at 350 deg. Ive done some wheels, beadlock
rings, tools, winch mt, skid plate, Its fast once your set up right. I might do a
video on it sometime. Really I can have a part ready in like 30 min. Dimple dies care
of Barbed Wire Offroad, 4 dies 1/2, 1, 1 1/2, 2" all for 100 bux shipped.

Wanted to go 2" shorter shocks on rear, and got a deal on remote ress in stead of
piggy backs so I had to scrap a lot of the rear shock mts and redo them.

Built a skid plate outta some 3/8 and powder coated it.

Did a winch mount from scratch outta 3/8 plate. Powder coated it before welding it on.
Just ground the areas to be welded to the frame, then touched them up with hammered paint.

Now for some Dimple Die stuff.

Also traded my 36 SXs for some 39.5 Iroks(thanks Money M.) Stepped up to 17s, had ClarkW cut me some
sick, one off beadlocks, based on a couple ideas I had. Used some 1/2x 1/8 flat
to make some Anti coning rings in my home made slip roll. I think 3/4 would be
better but I would have needed longer hardware.
