X16 I broke dana 300 cases like clockwork with a stock 4.0 jeep engine I have a np205 now no more problems.

Thanks man. I hate to prolong the build that long. It may be a while before I have the funds for an atlas. And it does have the lomax 4:1 set in it. Lots of good advise. Thanks I'll have to smoke on it. Keep an eye out for a good used passenger drop atlas for me. :dblthumb: I do struggle with the thought of putting more money into something that is apparently destined to fail.

Is that typically the way to go about mounting the rear radiators? I utilized some factory bushings underneath mine, but will probably just be buying a universal aluminum radiator for my next build and was curious about the best way to mount it.

It actually works out pretty good. It's clean and since there's virtually no movement in a tube chassis, cracking or stressing is not really an issue. I'm going to do my fuel cell the same way, just out of stainless.

I've seen radiators and fuel cells solid mounted that crack from chassis flex!

Anything is definitely possible. I'm thinking about putting a thin neoprene washer as an isolator.

Had some time to work on it today after some mowing and other obligatory bull****. Decided to drag the plasma cutter out and make the rear axles truss. Cut it out of 3/8".

That is the first rear disk brake setup I have seen where the calipers sit on the front side of the rotor. Are they weld on or bolt on? They definitely seem backwards from normal. It looks like they should be on back side of rotor and calipers moved from one side to the other to keep the bleeder screw on top.

Stock disc brake Chevys are on the front of the rotor. As long as the bleeder screw is the highest point it'll be fine. Those look a little off unless the pinion is flat in the rig

They are weld on. They've been on there for years. Who knows I may have been drunk when I did it. Lol. I was thinking about cutting them off and relocating them to help with clearance for my shocks so I can keep them as far outboard as possible.

I didn't even think about where the bottom of the coilover will be. Good time to change it if you want to.

My thoughts exactly. I'll probably cut em off tomorrow when I get back from my other shop. I was pleased with how the truss came out though. Now I gotta do the front.

It is ar the Dr. right now getting some work done. Hopefully after that I can get it to the body shop. Hopefully by fall it will be better than ever.

Yeah that's the problem with Chevy power it breaks things, see if you would have used Dodge power it would have came already broken.

Luckily the rain screwed me out of doing what I "needed" to do so I had no choice but to work in the garage on my buggy.

Built the driveshaf hoop and seat mount tubes

Got the seats mounted

Built the front axle truss and mocked up front four link

And this one is for drich394. Changed the yoke lol.

On the other hand this Buggy is coming together nice Patrick. That dam drive shaft hoop thing is def somthjng I need to look into. Very nice!
