Anyone know of a good battery for campers? A buddy at work is looking for one/two for his camper and wants to know what size/type will give him the best bang for his buck, as far as hours and power.

Anyone? :corn: Links to batteries would be awesome too!

What should he be looking for? He'll be doing a lot of weekend and extented camping trips. Its a smaller/newer pop-up style camper with a gas stove/heater and small fridge.

If he can afford it (about $120 or more, depends on the manufacture), go to one of the big rig repair shops and get a semi truck battery. I have one for my camper, and the battery will last me 4 days easy.

Measure the box and get the biggest battery you can fit in the box.

For campers I had someone tell me that they get better life with quad 6 volts over two 12 volts. I forgot the technical reason why it supposedly worked better...
