Does anybody know if I have to get my 2002 diesel emmission tested? According to the flunky at the liscense place I do, but thought diesels didn't have to? I looked on the pierce county and the state sites and couldn't find any info. I'd like to know before wasting a drive to Fife to stand in line. Thanks

Yes you have to have emissions test if you're required to in your area.. It's a simple test (Romp on the throttle and let off, three times). If you're stock you should pass no problem.. If your not, then it's pretty easy to make it pass =)

I had to go through emissions with the burb when I transfered the title, but they said it was cause it was from out of state (oregon) I have no idea why it passed, but it did. :redneck:

X3 Mine is also an 02'. They said they were only testing the governor. I live in the city limits though.

unless you have a pain in the ass tester and he checks. Shouldn't be a problem. Never had anyone check under my truck. I go to places where I can stay in the truck and run the test. Both Auburn and Renton have been fine with that.
