Fan Clutch

Well I have developed a nasty sqweek in my tj, upon crawling all around the engine I discovered that my fan clutch has some play in it. I have herd once these go the water pump is next in line. How can I be sure this is the actual problem? if so should i go to an electric fan or just fix the clutch.? Any help here would be welcome.

jUST REPLACE the fan clutch and see what happens. Its a 50/50 chance the bearings in the w/pump have been damaged.

Whats the word on this?

My fan clutch went out earlier this year. I got a new one and changed it in the Reiter Trails parking lot. No problems since.

its fine as long as you catch it early, before the water pump takes a ****. most poeple dont even know whats going on till the water pump starts making noises.
