Maxx dropped off the second winch this last weekend so I got it torn down and cleaned up and the drums swapped.

So next I wanted to try and start getting some items figured out in the chassis and I decided to start with the fuel cell. I am shooting for about 18 gallons worth of fuel since I had to carry cans and I love going on extended trips.

So I had fun with some carboard and got v1.0 of the cell done.

So still working in the rear I wanted to see about getting the rear winch installed. One thing I wanted was it down in the chassis. Sat down and came up with a cradle of sorts.

Next was seats--yes I wanna be able to sit and make vrrrrm vrrrrrm noises, lol.

Anybody who has done a tube chassis knows how tight it is to get seats in. I am going to have to modify the passenger seat frame over the tcase and I still gotta do the from inner mounts.

But ya have no idea how good it feels to have seats mounted..

So onto the battery tray's. One need I have with them is the ability to access the top post's to hook up my welder. Over the years I have used it many times on other folks rigs to get them off the trail and with my old toy they were VERY easily accessible and wanted to try to achieve the same.

So that unfortunately eliminates them being more forward the chassis and down low. Well after much thought I chose as far forward as possible and down into the chassis as possible. They are angled in such a way I can see the post's and also hug the links and clear the driveshaft. I know since they are down in the chassis it makes them more vulnerable from being smacked but I never hit anything in this area on my toy.

I got the mounts done. The trays are supported front and back and on the inside by some 1" tube and 2 tabs on the outside to the main chassis. It should be pretty strong and hold up good I hope...
