Ok so here's one of the Jeeps I recently finished. The Jeep belongs to my roomate, Jon.
Started out as this: Pretty typically modded 2000 TJ
Here's what its getting:
Front:
-HPD44 w/5.13s;lockrite;chromos;760s for now
-DOM steering
-Reusing the RE front suspension
-New front bumper and winch mount
-Winch control put under hood with interior switch
-PSC steering box, pump, res.
-Flat fender job
Rear:
-Ford 9in with matching gears; Detoit; chromoly shafts, discs
-4link suspension with coil springs for now
-New rear frame section
-some sheetmetal removal of course
-Fuel cell with factory sending unit
-LED tail lights
-6in stretch
Only thing we bought for this rig other than obvious things like shafts, lockers, gears and what not...was the RE bracket kit for the front and the lower spring mounts for the rear...
Made all the tabs and mounts and ****...
ok well, here's some pics of the build...
front end pulled outta that bitch!
D44 in place...pretty simple install for now up front, so i wont pay much attention to it...
ok, here's how the ass end looked...ready for an upgrade....well thats what it got! checkit
After all the cutting...trimmed the tub just below the tailgate...got departure?
beginning of rear bumper (2x4x3/16)
added a little detail and mocked it up
Time to give this bitch the 9inches!
some simple trussage...your's truely makin it stick
lower link mounts
weld shot on the coil mounts for the guru's
lowers in (2in .25wall DOM)
upper platform and tabs...
uppers in (1 3/4 .25 wall DOM)
Frame side of the uppers...
Rear coil let-drop-but-holder-inners/ bumpstop mount......nice work jon
Coil mounts and coils in
on the ground finally...
time for brakes
another shot of the brake lines...also you can see the new rear body mounts
poser shot...you can also see the fish plates and how i did the upper coil mount...
New front bumper to match the rear...
all painted up and Jon revamped the Tmax
Ended up havin to make a new front track bar mount...
