Moral Decay in America!

"Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife."

I'd say God was pretty clear about porn there.

Seeing as how he didn't see fit to include, "Though shalt not be a homo," I would say that, at least in the eyes of God, the porn-user has more to worry about than a homo. Yes, I am aware that the bible mentions homosexuality in other places. But it isn't mentioned in the Ten Commandments. Nothing even remotely interpret-able is. He is omniscient, right? Surely he saw this coming.

How come anytime a conversation about moral values Christianity always comes up I believe people can have good moral values with out Christianity or in fact any religion at all

You guys have missed the entire point of the thread. It's not about moral superiority. It's about the supreme court's enfringement on the 1st Amendment. Let gays marry, who cares. They have to answer for it. However, now, it's law. The supreme court says that it has to be accepted. What they did was force a religious belief onto the people.

As of yesterday, there's already pastors who are being sued because they will not perform a wedding ceremony for homosexuals. How would it make you feel if the federal government forced a belief upon you?

Now, for everyone on this thread screaming HATE. Why is it that a black, homosexual, atheist, or whatever can openly say whatever they want about a white person and that's perfectly okay? However, if a white person returns the favor, it's considered hate?

Wake the **** up! You've been programmed by a cowardly, liberal media to believe that ****.

Porn on HL.......3 combat tours buddy......I'll have a lot more to answer for than looking at some pics of hot ass women. At least I don't suck **** and force my beliefs on anyone else. I'm not perfect by a long shot, but I can ask for forgiveness and that's between me and God. So, **** off POUGE BITCH!
^^^This!^^^
I know I don't carry on my life as I should...and against my wife's wishes as well. With that being said....no sin is greater than the other but homosexuality (BTW which my phone would not predict..imagine that) is listed as one of the abominations in the Bible. Like I posted earlier..it's all for told.
And also you can't argue with idiots...outgunned every time!

I actually agree 100%

It does not force a preacher to perform a ceremony for a gay couple against his / her religious beliefs.

And I'm sure you could find a baker who would bake you a cake for a gay wedding, but they often seek out a Christian baker because on some level this is about attacking Christianity. For the progressive left to "transform" America into their dystopian dreamland they have to destroy several roadblocks: Religion/morality, the Constitution, and success (everyone has to be equal and have equal outcomes.) Government has to become your savior and everything you want or need has to come from government, including: food, shelter, rights as a person, belief system/religion, education and purpose. Now ask yourself how many the government already provides and what they need to complete their agenda.

Re:

They soon will brand any views against homosexuality hate speech and make it a crime. We are the modern day Rome and we are falling.

Couldn't agree more.

I don't really disagree with what you are saying. I just think that as a bunch of porn-loving, racist, hate-breeding "Christians" we are just as much to blame for the immorality of modern day society. Go back to the days where seeing a woman in a bikini on a public beach was scandalous and gay marriage is so far on the fringe of acceptable that it wouldn't even be appropriate to think about.

One of my VERY few serious post..
I ain't gonna get it started, but JJ my buddy, he torched a entire city for it!! Believe me it ranks on up there I'm sure.
Bein southern baptist our beliefs are pretty harsh on the end result of being gay. I Aint judgin no body, I got enough to answer for. Just wished everyone could see that "Christians" are humans just like "non Christians" , they don't walk on water, they don't do miracles, and Ya may not believe this, but some actually drink , and smoke, etc. it hurts my heart to think about good folks, that I know and care about, not "getting it". Man we could go at any second, one hell of a risk to take if Ya ask me. I honesly believe removing religion like we have from everything is a big part of where we are today.

Re:

I think all the bashing and judging of others that goes on in so many religions these days is what drives people away. I don't go to church but I was raised in a church. Grandpa was a Baptist preacher and grandma retired to Africa to be a missionary. Both very religious people but I never remember them bashing others like I see so many other Christians do these days. They would rather talk to you and guide you then tell you you're wrong and going to hell. Their influence on me is why I believe in Jesus but don't force it on others. I'll talk to others about it in hopes they can see the peace I have within when it comes to life situations because of it and they would want the same but I will never bash them on their beliefs.

To me, the worst sin is all the Hate that people have for others. What do you think is worse in God's eyes, being gay or being full of hate for gays?

According to the bible, all sins are equal. The only unforgivable sin is rejecting God.

I really believe that truly gay people are born that way, a genetic mix up. How many people you know, had a friend that they found out was gay, and said to themselves "I knew it", because, you could tell as children growing up, there was something just a little different about them. JMHO

I blame the parents, every time

Re:

I have a friend whose cousin is still I'm the closet and in his 50s. I think he's afraid to come out because his family is so conservative, even though everyone in his family knows that he's really gay he just can't seem to come out and say it. I would hate to live a life in hiding and can't see how that could be a choice to anyone. Genetics can play a huge role in somebody's life and even overcome the way they were raised. I didn't know my dad for the first 18 years of my life and we were brought up entirely different ways, in entirely different communities but we're both floored when we met and realized just how much we were alike.

So if he sucked a ****, you would too? Come on man...
