• Help Support Hardline Crawlers :

naches/manastash memorial day???

Thats called a good working relationship between volunteers and the land managers--something we DO NEED and thank you for the hard work doing what you do...

But until the users get the idea/educated we will continue to battle ourselfs for what lands we have left.

What percentage/kind of users do you think are the ones causing the damage?

Maybe Nancy could use part of that grant she was speaking of to pay for the material/consumables and work something out with clark?

When I talked to her about the "Alder Hole", we walked in and I showed her what could be done... She asked what I needed and had it delivered in a few days... A decent size group went in a week later and built the by-pass... It's holding up very well and users seem to understand what the options are for them and abide by that...

There's still more work to be done at that section, but we are waiting for nicer weather... It was snowing on us up there two weeks ago...

There are some other sections that are already in the works... I'm hoping to get to in the near future...

Clark donated that sign, I don't see a problem with paying for him to do others for certain areas... There's money available threw a number of clubs/orgs... This was a big part of creating The Public Trail Fund...

There's also users that donate their equipment to help the cause... Casey(skinny pedal) has done this several times...

Well let me know when you want to get up there and look at some other projects.

That's why we build water bars and silt ponds...

If we could get a 1/4 of the people that use the systems to help at work parties, most of this wouldn't be an issue... If we(wheelers), would take a preventive approach toward our trails, we would resolve a lot of the issues that create these so called "problems"...

Going in and building solid by-passes along with run off capture is something we should be doing before there is a thread of closure...

That's just my opinion...

Agreed :awesomework:

So anyone going to Naches for the chainsaw training?
I had to do this in MN also....I will be there on the 22nd

Thank God, I was worried someone was in danger of having fun. The fish can swim with happy gills tonight. Al Gore and the Sierra Club can rest easy, disaster averted. Now if we could just close those pesky trails the rest of the summer we'd be on to something.

Its great to be funny but the truth is the users brought this on themselves. Some of us have been telling you for years this was coming but you would'nt listen. Instead you just continued to build bigger and badder machines so you could "really tear it up" now we have trails that are torn up and impassable to the "average" user when wet and spiderwebs of trails where there should only be one. The users failed to police themselves so the Government is going to do it for us. This sucks and it sucks for all of us. All because of a minority of users that just cant accept the few rules to follow to keep OUR trails open. I dont know what its going to take to open peoples eyes to the reality of the way things are but maybe this will help. Its just a shame that it came to this:booo:

By "you" I use it as a general term.
