Met him in the mid-90s at the American Royal in Kansas City, seen him play about a dozen times or so. Pretty blessed by that.

Had me a couple last night and listened to some Merle, great stuff. :drinkers:
No idea whose gonna fill their shoes. Willy and Kris all that's left.

I was supposed to go see him last month they cancelled/rescheduled the concert to June never got to see him!

Don Williams is still here to went to one of his shows last year!
 
Not that I knew Merle Haggard personally, but it hit me today. Our local radio station was playing his music and man, it took me back. Reminded me of my Dad, who loved Merle, and all the good times we had together.

So........

I think I'll just sit here and drank!!!!
