I really dig Gizmo's shop with the open front like that. Especially the rack. Bet that large square footage of concrete was as much or more than the building :****:

I spent all the money I had saved up for wiring my little ole shop, installing lights, and builiding a nice solid work bench on a AR-15 when **** went crazy over the gun ban business. Until then, can't beat extension cords molaugh

I just bought a new house/shop a few months ago. I had been making plans in my head to build something like this for the last few years. I was looking at land to buy when I stumbled across this place. I knew immediately that I had to have it. There's no way I could have bought the land and built just the shell of the building for what I paid for this place.

It's a 30'x100' pole barn sitting on 2.2 acres on a dead end country road. It has 30'x45' of finished living space with 2 bedrooms, an office/bedroom, living room, one full bath, and eat-in kitchen. The shop is 30'x55', with one 10'x10' barn style sliding door, and two walk-through doors. The shop is pretty bare bones right now, what little wiring it had in it was a mess. I'm in the process of re-wiring, and adding more 110v and 220v receptacles and lights. I also plan to have another 10' door cut in at some point.

The shop: (ignore the mess, I'm still in mid-move)

Man yea I like that! You could build a house on the other part of property and have a heck of a man cave or doghouse loller.gif

Yeah, IF I ever get married I might do that. Right now it's just me though. In the words of my boy Jay-Z, I got 99 problems, but a bitch ain't one.... Lol.

Shop house for the win!

Mine's 42x60, half and half.

I'm gettin hitched in June, but no plans to build a "real house" (whatever that means) any time soon.

The dead end one lane country road is the only way to go IMO. Hell the school bus don't even come down my road cause they can't turn around...

Yeah, there's only 3 houses past me. There's probably no more than 10 cars a day come through here. I

Thanks guys, I do feel really lucky to have found this place. I'll post up more updates as I get stuff done in the shop.

I'm renting a 40x60 from a family friend, it's about a 35 minute drive from my house. Kinda sucks driving up there though. He had it set-up for making concrete pavers so we just stacked the workbenches for storage

Can't hide money! ;D Very nice Wag!

Very Nice! :dblthumb: That looks a lot like the one I planned on building before i found mine.

What kind of flooring is that in the apartment? Parts of mine still has the bare concrete floors. I've debated whether to do a floating laminate floor, or just do an acid stain on the concrete.
