Samurai engine decision

I went with a1.6 8 valve so i could go with the stock carb and manifold only put about $1100 it to it that was motor adapter and new radiator I have the fuel injection but still haven't got in on 4 years later

I'm think about a 2.0 now

Ford 4.0 would be screamin' in a sammy. Explorer donors with bad trannies can be had cheap.

Put it in with a shorty C4 and run the t-case of you choice.

Your question "im super confused, wich one do you prefer?"
#1. 1.9TDI (any VW Diesel, TD or TDI ) the kicker is finding one for a reasonable price tag.
#2. 1.6 16V (that is what I have). great little motor. Works great, runs great, easy on gas, easy to maintain.

If I had my way I would only own oil burners.
Still looking for the right by on the TD or TDI.........for a reasonable price.
I don't have to have one, so I won't bend over to get one
