Snowmobiling

It is not speed that creates bumpy, dangerous trails, it is also the volume of traffic and natural weather/terrain.

Go drive up any previously GROOMED "trail" in the spring... it is like a ****ing roller coaster from the snowmobiles. Yipee.

Your tabs go towards road maintnence and 4x4 trail(or lack there of) maintnence, snowmobile tabs go directly to grooming, snopark, and enforcement funds.

Thats fine. Let me pay my $30 bucks and drive on the same "trail" in the winter. Hey, if you wanna bring your snowmobile to the Shoestring in the summer, you may get some funny looks, but your not gonna get a ticket...

They are not telling you, you cannot be on public land, just some public land is reserved for snowmobiling, just as the skiers/hikers/snowshoers have their land.

As I don't own a snowmobile, yes... they are telling me I cannot be on public land...

Think how bad it would get with 4x4's on groomed trails with snowmobiles, it would be a mess! It would also be a waste of grooming because i could see idiots in their stock 4x4's being able to make it up quite a ways on a groomed trail, then getting stuck and causeing a general mess of things.

How would it be a mess?
If snowmobilers would SLOW THE **** DOWN it wouldn't be dangerous
If snowmobilers would take their fingers out of their vaginas and dodge potential "holes" or "ruts" from vehicles, it wouldn't be a problem... or since you have a SNOWMOBILE, get off the ROAD and go ride in the SNOW where people can't DRIVE

Also, the state see's that snowmobiles can ONLY ride 6 months out of the year(for me it can be 9 months+), 4x4's are year round vehicles

COULD be year round, if they gave us ANYWHERE to DRIVE YEAR ROUND

But your tire tracks aren't normal tire tracks, your vehicle is cabable of making 3 foot deep tracks that are 18+ inches wide, riding behind these tracks is dangerous and takes a lot of work, I know from experience

Boo Hoo, it takes alot of work... then ride off of the road where I am not allowed to drive, and the problem is solved...

write your representative, that is the only way anything is gonna happen, I am not gonna web wheel an argue back an forth about the points of snowmobiling and 4x4ing.

good luck:awesomework:

Mt. Baker Ski area has 42 inch base on Pan Dome and 38 inch at heather meadows and are expecting 1-1.5 feet more by friday:cheer:

keep praying to those snowgods, seems to be workin!:awesomework:

no **** stop *****in:rolleyes: just put my mod ultra motor in my new 97 chassis!!! should have it ready for the snow in the next two weeks:cheer:

during the week? i could probably swing that, im going hunting the following weekend

haha! I think my padre has the week off too, (thanksgivin week, right?) hopefully the snow sticks around, although, its supposed to keep accumilating. I was thinkin there has to be close almost enough to make it into the meadows at Anderson an Watson, especially with the next storm comin in.

i couldnt give a pbr **** about wheelin outa the burg. theres not really steep n deep riding like if you head a bit further into the cascades.
up there, in those small communities, i think they look foward to the snowmobilers business though. the weekenders spend buttloads.

or take the cat up:cool: my dad is always lookin for an excuse to take it up, if we do take it up, $20 for gas money an ya can ride all day:awesomework:

if its just me an my dad, we take the sleds up, park one at the bottom, ride double to the top, then snowboard down to the lower sled, ride double up to the other sled, then repeat, works good, but we get about half the runs in we normaly do with the snowcat
